Good and Bad

I just got in from a really fun day with the family. That was good.

We went to the Akron zoo… which pretty much hugged balls. Which is bad.

They should really consider just closing up over there at the Akron zoo. I spent $40 to see a bunch of half dead animals… no monkeys… no giraffes… which is bad.

But I did get a few pictures… which is good ;-)

Check out all my pics from today’s shoot on my Smugmug portfolio.

I really needed the day off as I’m working day and night on a new version of FirmPOS for our enterprise customers. Which is really coming along nicely. That is good.

My development playlist includes the new CD ‘Iconoclast’ from Symphony X. Which is damn good. This CD sounds huge. The production is awesome. You can hear everything… guitars… drums… vocals… synths.. there is no mud on this record.

The vocals on ‘Dehumanized’ remind me of the late Carl Albert a bit (who was a phenomenal singer) – ‘Bastards of the machine’ is also another fav… love the thought on the verse polarities.  ‘The end of innocence’ is another fav… has a heavy Yngwie flavor… with a real edgy Mark Boals.  -  Awesome groove.

Get this CD.
