Stan Miller in Canton
Cara and I stopped in to the Big City Chophouse on Friday to see Stan play. He was great as usual… but the restaurant was an oven. I think the AC was broken… it was hot.
I was able to get a few shots with my new camera.

A tattoo of redemption
Most of you know I’ve been talking about putting some ink on for some time now. My biggest hurdle was that I couldn’t find the right artist. Of course, it also took a while to figure out my concept… what did I really want?
I wanted the tattoo to turn heads… I wanted it to be original… I wanted it to look like me.
A while back, my buddy Tim introduced me to Melissa over at Professional Tattoo. She had done some great work for him and I knew I wanted her to tattoo me… but I still didn’t have a concept.
A few months later, I had a concept but nothing visual to hand her. I was hoping she might design something from my description. A few days later, I get a text with a picture of her idea.
Wow, I thought… that is exactly what I wanted!
My concept:
I wanted something wicked and visually appalling… in the midst of it’s folly… turning it’s back and seeking redemption.
Mel nailed it. I love it!
Here are a couple pictures of my new tattoo after a week (still healing and scabbing)
Here’s a shaky left handed shot from my iPhone while Mel works her magic!
Here is the mural right after Mel had completed it… red huh?
I will post more pics after it heals up. Meanwhile… I’m already thinking about my next tattoo :-)

Happy Birthday to Me
Wow… this was the best birthday ever! I spent the weekend hanging out with the most beautiful woman in the world. We had dinner on Saturday at Hyde Park in Cleveland. I had a perfect 18oz NY strip that was amazing.
Talk about a great time… she thought of everything!
Cara and Alex in my bar…
New for 2009… check out the new, improved… neighborhood Tiki Bar!!
I have wanted one of these for a while now… but couldn’t find one I liked anywhere!! I can’t wait to build the platform and casters… check out my bartender ;-)
So… of course.. I needed an official ‘Tiki Bar’ sign! It should be here on Wednesday :-)
Mark has been saying I needed better studio monitors for some time now. He (being a genius) was right but I couldn’t bring myself to replace the Polk’s I have been using for about a year now.
He picked up a pair of Behringer Truth b2031p’s and they smoke the Polk’s several times over. (even at this price point!)
Thank you Mark!!! I love these monitors!
Well… it’s 1:30pm and believe it or not… more b-day presents are showing up via UPS!!!
Maybe… but it’s wrapped really nice and I hear no ticking…
Wow… my friend Karen sent me this awesome martini set for my bar! You put ice in the glass cubes and set the martini glass on top. I can’t wait to use this!
I love it!!! Thank you :-)
And of course… no birthday would be complete without chocolate!! My girl knows me… I love chocolate!!!!
I have no self control when it comes to chocolate… I will probably eat this basket this afternoon!
Thank you Cara!! I love it!
Happy Birthday to Me!!
