mmm Cake!
Yeah… I love cake… mmm.. chocolate cake.. no.. wait.. I’m talking about “Cake” the band :-)
“Hem of your garment” provides a great canvas for some delicious guitar melodies and riffs. It is another all time favorite of mine.
The bass line and original guitar solos just groove. Not to mention the chorus and the opening riff… I had to cover this wonderful song.
The first time I heard it… Jim Carrey was flipping out in “Me Myself and Irene”. It was my favorite part of that movie and it couldn’t have been as funny without “Hem of your garment” playing as a theme.

Favorite Hooks -Burning Bridges
If you have never heard "Transcendence" by Crimson Glory… you have missed one of the finest collections of flowing melodies, harmonies and poetic lyrics articulated by one of the most wonderful voices ever recorded.
"Burning Bridges" is full of flowing hooks but my favorite starts right after Jon Drenning’s building guitar solo. It’s like a hand off… and this last hook just flows. Very moving.
Get this CD, put your headphones on, close your eyes and get lost in this hypnotic array of melody.

I never knew that I would need you
I always thought you would be there
Now I feel the bridges burning
Flames reflecting in my eyesI never meant to bring you sorrow
Never meant to cause you pain
I’m still thinking of you
You know I love you still
